scattered thoughts

scattered thoughts.

right now the sound of rain outside my window is very peaceful.

second-hand serenade has some of the most romantic lyrics. :)

michael gungor has wonderful worship music.

i wish i had my paints here at school. sketching will have to do for now.

it is hard for me to express what is on my heart. and it's late so bear with me. but i'd like to share with an anonymous cyber-audience. be a friend? thank you.

the lord beautifully orchestrates things we could never begin to plan here on earth. i love how he will network for us and connect us with the exact people he's appointed us to meet. (and this happens when we give up promoting ourselves and become occupied with kingdom work) also, many times, we jump to conclusions and try to predict a certain experience as the outcome of his plan when in fact it is only another link in the master plan that he has just begun to let us see.

as many times as i try to guess at what he is doing, i am always surprised. lately, i have become more sensitive to how god is working in my mundane day-to-days. i have been making myself aware of the little things which makes me so grateful. i keep memories, the divine appointments of the people i meet and the conversations i had and the things that inspired me, stored in the back of my mind. then i can refer to them when another moment confirms what i thought the lord might be telling me. it is pretty exciting to see some dots start to connect. many times they are tiny details that would be extremely insignificant to someone else but i know
jesus speaks my love language. :) even if no one else understands. i can look back to my childhood and see exact moments where i know i was being prepared for opportunities i have had today. its incredible to see god's hand throughout my life. and i pretty much do not believe in coincidence. the lord is just that good.

it has been "missions week" here at school and our focus has been to support 2 orphanages in honduras where i will be serving with my missions team in december. i was able to meet some of the missionaries while they were in town this week and a lady who runs a deaf center in hn was telling me about some amazing things that god had worked out recently at the center with help and equipment and such. she talked about how she "just so happened" to meet a specialist in hearing loss who agreed to help and "just so happened" to.....etc. she said, "i feel like my life lately has been one big 'just so happened'."

:) i knew what she meant. i have a few "just so happened" myself.

updates:

-i am trusting god to provide what i need to continue the rest of my schooling here at lee. i have a few reasons to believe that he wants me here.

-i am traveling to san pedro sula, honduras again in december

-i would love to return there again either in february or the summer (or both) :)

-i hope to return to zacatecas, mexico again in july! (don't you dare say the f word. finances. i am fully aware that i will not go anywhere that god would not send me; i also know that his resources are endless and he will equip the called. i do not worry.)

-i might have some clearer direction about my degree plan. (thats a pretty time-sensitive issue and i hope i kind of know what i'm doing with my life at this point)

Our God is an awesome God
He reigns from heaven above
With wisdom, power and love
Our God is an awesome God

by the way, you can't read it. I had to highlight it so I could read it, the font color doesn't show up on your background. Just FYI
