untold stories

Deep in forests and under bridges they lie

On the other side of our locked doors and our social classes they cry

In our wombs and on our streets with no love they die

These would-be world-changers and revolutionaries of our time

We've mutilated their hearts with counterfeit saviors and secrets kept

They settled for less when dreams died and fathers left

Voiceless children, do not hide!

Weary elders, remove your disguise!

Silenced youth with jaded eyes,

Lift up your cries!

Let your hunger rise!

Write the story that's never been read

Speak the words that have never been said

The unsung melody, the undanced step

And find cleansing from the secrets you've kept
